Mukkadal Marine Fish Museum at our college was established on 20 th December 2023 showcases a variety of marine fishes, offering an engaging learning experience for students and visitors. DIFST's Aquaculture Nutrition Wet Lab Facility is a place where students work hands-on to develop the best diets for aquatic animals. In Aquaculture Nutrition Wet Lab, Students have conducted experiments on “Estimation of Bio growth Parameters for a Mystus aor species by using floating fish feed”. They estimated various growth parameters and feed parameters such as percent wet weight gain, survival rate, mortality rate, Specific Growth Rate ( SGR), Feed Conversion Ratio ( FCR ) etc.

DIFST meteorological station serves the crucial purpose of collecting and analysing atmospheric data to provide weather forecasts and climate information. By monitoring temperature, wind patterns, Rain fall, and atmospheric pressure, these stations contribute to better understanding and prediction of weather conditions for various applications, including agriculture, transportation, and disaster preparedness.

The library at our college plays a crucial role in supporting acadamic pursuits of the students and it provides a conductive environment for learning. The library boasts with good infrastructure, designated study spaces and computer terminals. The library's collection is a rich repository of both print and digital resources. The collection includes textbooks (209), Theory & Practical manuals(148), Thesis (28), reference materials, CMFRI reports, FAO Manuals(5 Volumes), and more than 50 e-books. Aside from academics, our library contains a good collection of dictionaries, general science books, motivational books, and novels. We also have annual subscriptions for two magazines, Aquaculture Spectrum and Aqua Star. Wi- Fi connectivity was provided, allowing students to access digital resources.
